BASF's Specialty Products Department selects DataConduitSM technology to manage its marketing database and report channel and end user sales

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC-BASF Specialty Products Department, a division of BASF Agricultural Products in North America, has joined other specialty manufacturers in using DataConduit's DataConduit.com marketing database technology. BASF will use this technology to organize their wholesale and retail sales data and make it readily accessible for BASF sales and marketing managers through powerful online reporting tools.

The DataConduit web-based system gives sales and marketing representatives and managers a real-time view of their in-season end user sales by product, distribution partner and region or territory. Users of the system also will be able to run year-over-year comparisons with easy to use yet powerful ad hoc reporting tools. In the future, distributors already using DataConduit's technology also may be able to see BASF end user sales in their standard DataConduit management reports and gain an even broader perspective of their business.

"We are pleased to be associated with DataConduit and to have them manage the behind the scenes work required to effectively communicate information to our sales and marketing people," said Scott Peoples, business manager for marketing and business development. "We believe DataConduit has demonstratrated its innovativeness for delivering data so that it is actionable. We expect that our sales people will be more efficient and focused once we launch the new tool."

"It's great to have BASF, another market leader, using DataConduit technology to expand the network of participating manufacturers and distributors using the DataConduit system," said Harry Albert, vice president of business development. "We look forward to continuing to work together with manufacturers and distributors serving the specialty markets to bring a common data collection and reporting hub to the industry. The DataConduit hub streamlines the sales reporting process for distributors by allowing them to use a single, convenient reporting platform to comply with every manufacturers' sales reporting requirements while retaining full control and visibility of all the data cleaned and reported."
