Business Analyst

Business Analyst for XS, Inc., one of the most dynamic Entrepreneurial, software companies in the Triangle. Candidates must be: intelligent, enthusiastic, self managing, organized, have a flexible schedule, be comfortable working under pressure, and able to handle multiple tasks. Flexible schedules and casual work environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate client interactions to understand business requirements.
  • Collect and document requirements, help define scope and objectives, and formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies.
  • Create Statements of Work, diagrams, flowcharts, user stories, epics, acceptance criteria, and test plans.
  • Communicate effectively with external clients and internal teams to deliver product’s functional requirements.
  • Assist Product Owner with team backlog grooming and prioritization.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Solid mathematical aptitude and effective project management skills.
  • Ability to analyze and document complex business processes.
  • Ability to make effective decisions under pressure.
  • Ability to think analytically and should be a problem solver.
  • Ability to gather and interpret relevant data and information.
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and written language skills
  • Good understanding of how a software company works

 

Experience:

  • 3-5 years professional business experience
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree – Business, MIS or Related Field
  • Strong understanding of technology and service based software
  • Proven ability to quickly understand and translate business and technical requirements to both business and technical audiences.
  • Experience with database and analytics software
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Must be willing to travel, when necessary
