XS’ P2 system is a comprehensive system for efficiently managing a grower production program, from the planning stage through to product delivery and settlement. Moreover, it provides a degree of precision, efficiency and visibility that was previously just not available.

P2 gives you real control over your process. Virtually every process has dependencies that can be managed to fit the way you want to run your business. Do you want to make sure that production seed is only delivered to growers that have signed contracts? No problem. Do you want to make sure that all fields have been treated before harvest? Value Proposition
Buyers of agricultural goods seek to manage their own production (rather than rely on an open markets) for a number of reasons. For example, buyers may be seeking:

  • Efficiently create, edit and amend contractual agreements electronically so that all agreed parameters are immediately part of the reporting and tracking systems within P2
  • Manage information and activities across a large number of independent parties; growers, dealers, buyers’ field personnel, input suppliers, independent delivery locations, etc.
  • Provide real time visibility of production including planting status, results of the latest field visits, latest estimated yield, all the way to weight ticket or delivery status results

P2 System Modules and Features
Grower, Field and Facilities management – Capture all the necessary data about a given farm operation including, for example field coordinates, acreage, soil type, storage capacity, historical average yield, etc.

Production Planning – Develop a system wide plan for what crops need to be grown where, in what time frame, under whose management

Contracting Process – Make sure that the right contracts are all in place and that the latest production estimates are based on completed contracts

Seed Order and License Management – Ensure that all the ”paperwork” is in place before planting, or maybe even seed delivery, can begin.

Production Management – Measure ongoing results (e.g., planting date, mid-season estimated yield) and also enforce compliance with key stewardship or processing requirements

Delivery and Inventory Tracking – P2 continuously incorporates the latest results via electronic feeds from all delivery points.

Purchasing Optimization – Make final purchasing decisions based on the most up to date information on yield and demand, cost-of-goods from each source, and considering contractual minimums and obligations of both parties.
